Lissett Windfarm
The design of this small wind farm on a former RAF airfield in the East Riding of Yorkshire consists of two simple curving arrays of turbines that are aligned roughly north-south. Within each array, turbines are equally spaced. The effect of this is to create a very simple, well balanced image in almost all views of the development, including those seen from greater distances.
The development was granted planning consent in 2007 and has been operational since 2009.
